Jason “Bobby” Blanton, 50, passed away unexpectedly on Oct 5th 2026 in Horn Beak

Tennessee.

Jason, a welder by trade, enjoyed the outdoors (especially fishing). If he wasn’t found

with a pole in the water you could usually find him trying to beat levels on his favorite

video game, or working on his latest art project.

Jason married Tina Thuma and together they raised two of his children from a previous

relationship; Devin (24) and Austin Blanton (20) alongside the four children they

shared; Kaytlan (18), Jaslyn (15) Addilynn (12) and Wyatt Blanton(10). After their

divorce, Jason never remarried and moved around until finally landing in Tennessee

finding employment at Black & Decker.

Jason is survived by his parents Kittie & Jon Steven of Peoria, Illinois. His ex-wife Tina of

Chanute, Kansas and his six children; Austin Blanton of Illinois, and Devin, Kaytlan,

Jaslyn, Addilynn, and Wyatt Blanton of Kansas.
